rabbitA New Zealand White rabbit is immunized via intramuscular injection with your antigen. Immunizations are performed using Antimax-3a mixture of proprietary immune stimulants that can boost the antibody titer up to 100 times while simultaneously balancing the TH1/TH2 response.

At day 49 of the protocol, a production bleed is taken and the animals are placed on rest pending your testing results.

Each production bleed will average approximately 25 ml serum per animal and exsanguinations yield approximately 100 ml serum per animal. In either case, you can expect approximately 3 - 6 mg/ml serum antibody. The antibody can be purified via several common methods, but Protein G sepharose is the most common.

We will need at least 0.5 milligram of your antigen per animal. Immunoaffinity purification or protocol extensions may require additional antigen.

  Day   Procedure

            1   Pre-immune test bleed. Primary Antimax-3
  7   Boost Antimax-3
  14   Boost Antimax-3
30   Test bleed. Sample shipped for titer testing/screening (or we can test it here).
