Interleukin-5 Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a dimeric, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 2 x 113 amino acids forming a disulfide linked homodimer and having a molecular mass of 26.2 kDa.
The Mouse IL-5 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Solubility:
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Mouse Interleikin-5 in sterile 18MΩ–cm H2O at a concentration of 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Formulation:
Lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution containing 20mM Sodium Phosphate and 50mM NaCl pH-7.5.
Stability:
Lyophilized Mouse Interleukin-5 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 °C. Upon reconstitution Mouse IL5 should be stored at 4 °C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 °C.
Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.
Activity:
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of TF-1 cells was found to be 1.7ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 588,235.3IU/mg.
