Sheep are immunized via intramuscular injection with your antigen. Towards the end of the protocol, 3 production bleeds are taken and the animals are placed on rest pending your testing results.

Each production bleed will average approximately 250 ml serum per animal and exsanguinations yield approximately 1000 ml serum per animal. In either case, you can expect approximately 15 - 20mg/ml serum antibody. The antibody can be purified via several common methods, but precipitation based method is the most common.

We will need 2 milligram of your antigen to complete the 1 animal protocol. Immunoaffinity purification or protocol extensions may require additional antigen.
