Client supplied peptide is conjugated to ovalbumin (OVA) using either maleimide or carbodiimide coupling chemistry. For the preferred maleimide method, the peptide must include at least a terminal cysteine. The carbodiimide method will work for most other peptides but can link internal to the peptide, possibly disrupting the antigenic structure of the resulting immunogen.
The standard reaction size is 2 milligrams - giving you sufficient protein for most antibody generation protocols. Larger amounts can be conjugated on request. The product is purified away from unreacted peptide and supplied complete with specification sheet detailing protein concentration and peptide substitution ratio and coupling efficiency
