Description:
MEC Rat Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 116 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 13.1kDa.
The Rat MEC is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.

Solubility:
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized MEC in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Formulation:
The protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in 20mM PB, pH 7.4,150mM NaCl.
Stability:
Lyophilized MEC although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution MEC should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Activity:
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. Determined by its ability to chemoattract murine lymphocytes using a concentration range of 1.0-10.0 ng/ml. ng/ml.
