Description:
MPO is a natural protein having a molecular mass of 150kDa containing 2 subunits each of a heavy chain with 64kDa and a light chain with 13kDa. MPO is isolated from human peripheral blood polymorphonuclear leukocytes.

Applications:
Western blot with rabbit anti-MPO antisera and green color indicates presence of green heme" cofactor.
Purity:
Greater than 80% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation:
MPO is supplied in 16mM HEPES buffer pH-8.0, 400mM NaCl, and 20% glycerol.
Stability:
Store at 4 °C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20 °C for longer periods of time.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Coating Concentration:
0.4-0.9 µg/ml (depending on the type of ELISA plate and coating buffer). Suitable for biotinylation and iodination.
Immunological Functions:
Binds IgG-type human auto-antibodies.
Immunological Tests:
Standard ELISA test (checkerboard analysis of positive/negative sera panels); immunodot test with positive/negative sera panels.
