Description:
PKC-g Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing amino acids 2-676 and having a molecular mass of 80 KD. This protein is the full-length form of the protein with an amino terminal poly His-tag.
PKC-g is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms:
Protein kinase C gamma type, EC 2.7.11.13, PKC-gamma, PRKCG, PKCC, PKCG, SCA14, MGC57564.
Source:
Sf9 insect cells.
Purity:
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation:
PKC-g is supplied at a of 0.1mg/ml in 10mM Tris, pH 7.4, 0.1M NaCl, 20% glycerol, 1mM DTT, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.2mM PMSF and 0.03% Brij-35.
Physical Appearance:
Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Storage:
Store at 4 °C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20 °C for longer periods of time.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Unit Definition:
6000-8000 units/mg. One unit of PKC-g activity transfers 1 nmole of phosphate to a PKC substrate peptide (myelin basic protein 4-14) per minute at 30 °C. Recombinant human active PKC-g also phosphorylates full length myelin basic protein, histone, MARKS, and GSK-3b. Activity requires incubation with lipid activators, and may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions.
Usage:
Denovo Biotechnology's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.
