Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Unit Definition:
~ 1800 units/mg. One unit of PKCq activity transfers 1 nmole of phosphate to a PKCe pseudosubstrate peptide per minute at 30 °C using. Recombinant human active PKCq also phosphorylates histone, MARCKS, moesin, RasGRP3, and PKCa and PKCe pseudosubstrates. PKCq is a novel PKC and does not require calcium for activity. Activity may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions. The optimal concentration should be determined for each specific application. PKCq is involved in T-cell activation and T-cell receptor signaling including T-cell mediated activation of NF-kB and AP-1.
